Job Overview
We are seeking an outgoing, compassionate support staff to work in the home and in the community with a pleasant and active young woman in the Boyertown area. This position will be part-time, weekends while individual is in school and then weekdays 10 AM-4 PM requiring availability for 6 hour shifts. This position is ideal for someone who is:

Responsibilities
- Support the individual in growing their independence at home and in the community
- Help the individual to become more involved with her community by exploring her interests within the community
- Assist with daily living activities such as meals, personal hygiene, etc.
- Foster independence and an environment that is supportive of the individual meeting their personal goals
- Maintain accurate documentation through electronic service note completion
- Collaborate with family members and other support staff to best meet the needs of the individual
- Provide consistent practice and utilization of her communication device
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of professional and/or personal experience working directly with individuals diagnosed with autism and/or other intellectual disabilities
Job Requirements
- A valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- CPR and First Aid certified (training is available)
- Criminal background check
