SMAC manufactures linear motor based actuators that are superior to older tech pneumatic and electric actuators. SMAC Moving Coil Actuators feature programmable control of position, velocity, and force. With accelerations over 50 G and cycle life well over 100M, SMAC is rapidly replacing air cylinders in packaging and automotive applications as well as replacing ball screw actuators in electronic and biotech applications.
As part of our growth strategy, SMAC is growing it’s Electronics Manufacturing Center in Derry New Hampshire. The company is adding engineering positions to support this effort.
Position – Electrical Engineer. The successful applicant will design and implement new encoder products to support the electronic actuator group in Carlsbad CA. Must be familiar with ECAD tools such as Autodesk Fusion Electronics. The requirements include test fixture design and build as well as test method development. Must have experience with basic electronic test and measurement equipment. The ability to evaluate and troubleshoot new and current products is a must.
Qualifications : The ideal candidate will have 4 year technical degree with analog and digital circuit design background and 1-2 years industry experience. Experience with PCB layout and knowledge of SMT process is a plus.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
