Position Overview
Artisan Tile & Floorcovering is seeking a reliable Laborer to support our installation team. This entry‑level role is hands‑on and fast‑paced, ideal for someone who wants to learn the flooring and tile trade while assisting experienced installers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Material Handling — Move and stage boxes of flooring, tile, and supplies (typically under 30 lbs).
- Installation Support — Assist installers with flooring, tile work, backsplashes, and prep tasks.
- Tool Management — Pick up, organize, and transport tools and materials throughout the job site.
- Measurement Tasks — Use a measuring tape accurately for cuts, layout, and spacing.
- Site Cleanup — Maintain a clean and safe work environment by sweeping, removing debris, and organizing materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to lift and move items up to 30 lbs consistently.
- Basic knowledge of measuring tape use and simple measurements.
- Willingness to learn flooring and tile installation techniques.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Comfortable working on active construction sites.
Work Environment
- Indoor and occasional outdoor job sites.
- Standing, bending, and light physical labor throughout the day.
- Working closely with skilled installers and learning the trade.
