Next Door Home Health is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide one-on-one care for a long-term client in Tijeras, New Mexico.
This is a full-time position with consistent 12-hour shifts, allowing you to build a meaningful relationship with your client while providing exceptional care in the comfort of their home.
Unlike facility work, you'll care for one client during your shift, giving you the opportunity to focus on quality care without being rushed between multiple residents.
About the Department of Labor Program
Our clients receive care through the U.S. Department of Labor Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program (EEOICPA). Many are former employees of Los Alamos National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, and other Department of Energy facilities who qualify for home care services due to occupational illnesses.
This position offers the chance to make a lasting impact while providing compassionate, individualized care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Assist with toileting and incontinence care
- Meal preparation and assistance with eating, if needed
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Mobility assistance and safe transfers
- Medication reminders
- Companionship and emotional support
- Observe and report changes in the client's condition
- Maintain accurate daily documentation
- Follow individualized care plans while promoting client independence and dignity.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- 12-hour shifts
- Consistent schedule
- Long-term client assignment
- Opportunity for additional hours as available
Qualifications
- CNA, HHA, PCA, or equivalent caregiving experience preferred
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
- Ability to pass a background check
- Authorized to work in the United States
- CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
