Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control, and support the delivery of high-quality patient care in pediatric dentistry.

Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies, maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Record vital signs, medical history, and other relevant patient information accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Oryx.
- confident in coronal polishing and sealant.
- Provide patient education on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and assist with pediatric dentistry needs when applicable.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the team.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating dental coding for billing purposes, and assisting as a dental receptionist when needed.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and OSHA standards to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure.
- Proven experience in dental assisting within a general dentistry or specialty practice such as pediatrics.
- Proficiency with EMR systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic or similar platforms for managing medical documentation and records.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
- Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and vital signs measurement.
- Experience with X-ray procedures.
- Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism. Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
