At Salt and Stone, we believe that great service is an art form. As we prepare for our grand reopening in Assembly Row, we are looking for seasoned Servers who are as passionate about hospitality as they are about precision.
We are specifically looking for professionals with over 3 years of verifiable experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate isn't just a "order taker “you are a brand ambassador who knows how to create a personalized, seamless dining experience while maintaining the high standards of a premier Somerville destination.
Duties
- Service Excellence: Manage guest orders with 100% accuracy using the Toast POS system, ensuring that all special requests and preferences reach the kitchen and bar perfectly.
- The "2-Minute" Standard: Execute our hospitality protocol by greeting every table within 2 minutes of seating, providing expert beverage and appetizer recommendations to kick off the meal.
- Be the Expert: Maintain a deep, professional knowledge of our food and beverage programs to confidently guide guests through our menu and seasonal offerings.
- Safety & Allergies First: Strictly follow all food safety and allergy protocols. This includes mandatory management confirmation and precise labeling in the system for every restricted order.
- Dining Room Stewardship: Take pride in the aesthetics of your section through consistent pre-bussing and proactive table maintenance.
- Operational Precision: Handle all financial transactions accurately and stay on top of daily side work (opening, running, and closing) to keep the restaurant guest-ready at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven Track Record: 3+ years of demonstrable experience in full-service, high-volume restaurants.
- Tech Savvy: Hands-on experience with Toast POS is required. We need you to hit the ground running.
- Communication: A professional, charismatic personality with a genuine "team-first" attitude.
- Poise Under Pressure: The ability to multitask and maintain your cool during the busiest Friday night rushes.
- Attention to Detail: An unwavering commitment to service standards, cleanliness, and guest safety.
