Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our vibrant dining establishment with passion and precision. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Lead the overall management of the restaurant, including supervising front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to uphold quality standards and safety regulations.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, sales tracking, and inventory control.
- Conduct staff training sessions on food safety, customer service, POS usage, and operational procedures to enhance team performance.
- Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and manage food production to minimize waste while maintaining high-quality offerings.
- Handle cash management duties including cash handling procedures, shift cash reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and hospitality industry best practices.
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing staff to build a motivated and skilled team.
- Drive customer satisfaction by addressing guest concerns promptly and ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
- Oversee shift management tasks such as scheduling staff shifts, managing labor costs, and ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Skills
- Extensive experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety management.
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and inventory control.
- Proven track record in restaurant management with supervisory experience in hospitality or food service industries.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, motivate teams, and manage diverse staff members effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food handling protocols, kitchen management, and culinary techniques.
- Ability to analyze financial data such as profit & loss statements for strategic decision-making.
- Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing operational efficiencies.
- Familiarity with catering services, banquet operations or bar experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple responsibilities such as shift management, inventory control, and staff training simultaneously.
