This position is located at our newly acquired Luken Memorials store in Yankton, SD. Yankton sits along the Missouri River and blends historic character, waterfront recreation, and Midwestern hospitality! Yankton is home to wonderful attractions such as the Lewis & Clark Recreation Area, the Dakota Territorial Museum & Mead Museum, the Meridian Bridge, and Yankton Riverboat Days!
Position Description:
As the Administrative Assistant, you are responsible for assisting the store team to successfully operate a memorial store. The ideal candidate is a compassionate team player with exceptional customer service and organizational skills. If you fit this description, Apply Today!
This position has a hourly wage range of $18 - $23 based on experience.
This position is eligible for an annual, discretionary bonus.

Essential Functions
- Client Service & Records Support: deliver a welcoming showroom experience by assisting visitors and managing phone/email inquiries, while maintaining a clean, organized facility and ensuring accurate customer and cemetery records
- Community Outreach & Memorial Sales Support: generate and nurture prospects through letters, leads, and community events while supporting the Memorial Consultant in guiding families through memorial selection, design, and purchase
- Cemetery Relations & Scheduling Support: Coordinate memorial order fulfillment by managing relationships with cemetery sextons, caretakers, and lettering teams, including scheduling memorial settings with all parties and occasional travel to cemeteries as needed
- Professional Development & Company Culture: travel to St. Cloud for required training and annual sales meetings while consistently upholding and demonstrating company values

Required Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Preferred Experience:
- 1-3 years customer service
- An understanding of funeral home, granite or retail store operations
- Pre-Employment Requirements
- Pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to hire
- Completion of technology testing and background check
- Ability to travel to St. Cloud, MN for training and annual sales meetings
