Qualifications: Level 1 certification or higher preferred. Those eligible/willing to become certified are also considered.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans
- Provide support and guidance to students with autism and other special needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Help students with literacy education and development
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan engaging and age-appropriate lessons
Skills:
- Experience working with students, particularly those with autism or special needs
- Knowledge of childhood development and educational strategies
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
