Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and energetic host/greeter to be the first point of contact for our guests. The host/greeter sets the tone for the guest experience by providing a warm welcome, managing the flow of guests, and communicating effectively with the service team.
The ideal candidate is personable, organized, attentive to detail, and able to remain calm and positive in a fast-paced environment
Duties
- Warmly greet every guest as they enter the establishment
- Manage the entrance, seating, and reservation
- Monitor table availability and coordinate seating with servers and mangers
- Assist with reservations and special guest requests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand
- Thank guests as they leave and encourage a positive final impression
- Follow all company standards for guest service, appreance, safety, and cleanliness
Job Requirements
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting preferred, with strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction with guests and team members
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow efficiently
- Knowledge of hospitality best practices to support smooth operations
- Ability to remain energetic, attentive, and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Previous food service or guest relations experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
- Ability to stand and walk outside for extended periods of time
- Ability to move throughout a busy restaurant environment
