Surgical Technologist (OR)
Location: San Luis Obispo, CA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 8-Hour Varied Day Shifts
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join a busy Operating Room team in San Luis Obispo, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong OR experience, maintain a sterile surgical environment, and provide exceptional support to surgeons and the perioperative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during a variety of surgical cases
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards throughout procedures
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure proper instrument availability
- Perform surgical counts and assist with room turnover between procedures
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety, and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
