We're looking for dependable, detail-oriented Hospital Environmental Services (EVS) Attendants to join our team. This position is similar to a janitor, custodian, or environmental services technician, but is specifically focused on maintaining a clean, sanitized, and safe healthcare environment within a busy veterinary hospital. Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout a busy 24-hour veterinary hospital.
- Clean and disinfect patient care areas, exam rooms, treatment rooms, lobbies, hallways, offices, elevators, stairwells, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize client and staff restrooms, ensuring supplies are fully stocked throughout the shift.
- Clean and maintain staff break rooms, including countertops, tables, sinks, refrigerators, microwaves, and other shared appliances.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and auto-scrub floors using commercial cleaning equipment.
- Empty trash, recycling, and designated waste containers, replacing liners as needed.
- Clean glass doors, windows, mirrors, and other high-touch surfaces to maintain a professional appearance.
- Perform routine and scheduled deep cleaning of floors, baseboards, walls, vents, doors, and other hospital surfaces.
- Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and biohazard cleanup using approved infection control and safety procedures.
- Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment in accordance with hospital policies and OSHA guidelines.
- Restock paper products, soap, hand sanitizer, and other housekeeping supplies throughout the hospital.
- Maintain janitorial equipment and keep storage closets clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Work around patients, clients, veterinarians, and medical staff without disrupting hospital operations or patient care.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist with room setup and general housekeeping needs as requested.
- Follow all hospital safety, infection prevention, and standard operating procedures.
- Perform other housekeeping, janitorial, and environmental services duties as assigned.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
