Summary: Education Stations is Melrose Public Schools’ after school enrichment program for elementary aged students. Applicants must be available from Monday-Friday from 2:00-5:30. Applicants must be flexible, positive and confident in delegating and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a medical needs log of all known issues for students enrolled in the programs.
- Assuring that all appropriate medications and protocols are in place as needed.
- Assuring that all epi-pens, inhalers and other medication is up to date.
- Tending to the known and unexpected medical needs of the children.
- Communicating with school day nurses in regards to health maintenance and disease management.
- .Assist students with personal care tasks as needed which may include but are not limited to toileting, diapering, feeding, etc.
- Filling in at Sites as needed when medical attention is required
- Other duties as assigned by the Site Coordinator.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse or LPN
- CPR and first aid trained
- Punctual, Reliable and regular attendance is required
- Ability to pass a Background Check including Fingerprinting and a CORI
