American Traveler is hiring an experienced Ambulatory Care RN for a 13-week travel assignment in an outpatient specialty clinic requiring telephone triage experience and an active NY RN license.

Outpatient ambulatory care setting located in Downtown Brooklyn
-
Provides care across multiple specialty clinics including Internal & Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Pulmonary Medicine, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Weight Management, Bariatric & General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, and Physical Therapy

Patient population spans all ages
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4
-
Schedule is Monday through Friday with 5x7.5-hour day shifts
-
Flexible shift start times available between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM
-
No weekends or rotating shifts required
-
Uses EPIC for documentation, medication administration, and communication
-
Dedicated provider support available via EPIC and phone
-
Phlebotomy and Rapid Response Teams available for additional support
-
Floating limited to other clinics on the same floor within the same location
-
Active NY RN license required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
PALS certification preferred
-
Ambulatory Care Nursing certification (AMB-NC) preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
Recent telephone triage experience required
-
EPIC charting experience preferred
-
Experience managing patient ratios of approximately 1:4
-
Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred

Teaching hospital experience preferred
-
Community hospital experience preferred
-
COVID vaccination required with no exceptions
-
Conduct telephone triage and patient assessments
-
Administer vaccinations
-
Collaborate with providers to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
-
Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
-
Provide patient and family education while coordinating care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
-
Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care in accordance with health system nursing standards
-
Orientation is 48 hours
-
Gray scrubs required (any shade)

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate

Requested RTO must be 5 days or less, with no RTO permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment

Previous employees must have a 1-year gap before returning as a traveler
