Job Summary
Retail Therapy AZ is seeking a motivated and dependable individual who is a strong communicator, a team player, and demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their responsibilities and thrives in a dynamic retail environment as a Sales Associate / Sales Lead.
The ideal candidate will support our community of small business owners, help drive sales, supervise staff, and ensure every guest receives an exceptional customer experience. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and a high level of self-motivation.
Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Associates / Sales Lead
- Maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Support our 300+ contracted small business owners by assisting in selling their products and offering sales strategies as needed.
- Lead by example to deliver outstanding customer service and ensure vendor satisfaction.
- Provide prompt, professional communication to customers and small business partners.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment that meets Retail Therapy AZ and property standards.
- Accurately process sales transactions and utilize our POS system confidently.
- Work independently while demonstrating leadership qualities on every shift.
- Supervise and train Sales Associates, offering guidance on best practices in customer engagement and retail sales.
- Oversee daily operations including cash handling, operating the register, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Assist with inventory management through stocking, organizing, and performing regular product checks.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about product features and benefits, ultimately driving sales.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies that increase store sales and enhance overall performance.
- Uphold brand standards by maintaining an organized, welcoming, and aesthetically pleasing store environment.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred; experience as a Sales Lead or Supervisor is a plus. We are definitely open to training the right candidate.
- Proficiency in POS systems for sales transactions and basic inventory management.
- Strong cash-handling abilities and attention to detail in financial transactions.
- Experience conducting product demonstrations is a plus, with the ability to communicate product value clearly and confidently.
