We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance guest experience.
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, adhering to fine dining standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to maintain high levels of guest relations.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and sanitation practices to ensure a safe dining environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards in the food industry.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
