Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant restaurant team! Duties
- Greet guests promptly with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality, establishing a positive first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and tip management
- Upsell menu items such as cocktails, wines, or specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu options to elevate the dining experience
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including setup, breakdown, and inventory checks
- Foster guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions or concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Demonstrated ability in beverage service including cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink presentation
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards required; experience with food handling protocols preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Previous restaurant experience emphasizing hospitality excellence is highly desirable
