Job Description: PROJECT DIRECTOR (Residential and/or Commercial)
Position Summary:
The project director will work with the customer to successfully restore residential and commercial properties following a flood, fire, roofing or other property damage. The primary responsibilities include communication, coordinating and scheduling with staff, sub-contractors and customers during the construction processes. The main objective is to ensure high quality work is performed, the jobs are completed on time and on budget with the right materials. Project Directors are responsible for multiple projects at the same time depending on work load.
Duties &Responsibilities:
· Prepare budgets, and work timetables
· Communicate with customers, sub-contractors and management
· Interpret and negotiate work order contracts and technical information with sub-contractors and other professionals
· Report on work progress and budget matters to clients and management
· Build relationships with quality sub-contractors and insurance adjusters
· Instruct and supervise construction personnel and activities onsite
· Respond to after hour emergency losses
· Manage construction projects from start to finish
· Comply with building and safety codes, and other state and local regulations
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
· Experience in the property restoration industry
· Effective at monitoring and managing multiple projects
· Emphasis on residential and commercial construction
· Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook®, Excel®, Word®, PSA experience a plus
· Must have a good work attitude, customer service and organizational skills
· Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
· Excellent communication and leadership skills
· Must be able to lift over 50 pounds and endure seasonal temperatures
