American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 18 months of specialty experience and ARRT and Florida state licensure required.

Short term acute care teaching hospital setting within the Interventional Radiology unit
-
4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
-
On-call requirements apply
-
May float within scope to meet facility needs, including additional Cath/EP coverage
-
May be required to float to sister facilities within approximately 20 miles
-
EPIC charting system used
-
Minimum of 18 months of experience in Interventional Radiology, 2 years preferred
-
ARRT and BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Florida state license required if applicable
-
RCIS certification preferred
-
Skilled in procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and various angiography studies

Experience with genitourinary procedures including nephrostomy, cystoscopy, gastrostomy, and ureteral stent placement

Experience with vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose

Able to work with young adult, middle adult, and older adult patient populations

Any charting system experience accepted

Responsibilities include equipment set up, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing in

Ceil blue scrub color required
-
Smoke-free facility with a strict do not call in policy
-
EKG and pharmacology testing required during orientation with a maximum of two attempts each and no remediation
-
Completion of required training modules prior to start, averaging 6-15 hours, with annual renewal

First-time travelers accepted
-
Locals accepted at the same bill rate

All requested time off must be submitted upfront and will not be considered if submitted later

Returning permanent or per diem staff must wait one year from their previous end date before returning to the facility
