Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders using POS systems such as Toast POS to ensure quick and accurate transactions.
- Prepare food items following safety standards and quality guidelines, including handling ingredients, assembling orders, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Operate cash registers, handle cash and card payments accurately, and process retail sales transactions efficiently.
- Upsell menu items or add-ons to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning tables, counters, kitchen equipment, and dining areas regularly.
- Support food safety management practices by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols.
- Assist with bussing tables, stocking supplies, and ensuring the restaurant remains organized and inviting for guests.
Skills
- Prior experience in food preparation, quick service & fast food restaurant environments, or café settings is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast; basic math skills for cash handling and retail math are essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests.
- Ability to multitask effectively while managing time efficiently during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and food handling practices.
- Experience with retail sales transactions or grocery store operations is a plus.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards supporting colleagues in a fast-paced setting.
