HVAC Business Development Representative

D&L HVAC & Sheet Metal is a leading provider of commercial and industrial HVAC solutions serving manufacturing facilities and mission-critical environments throughout the Southeast. We're looking for a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Representative to expand our customer base and grow our market presence.
This is a field-based position with flexibility to work remotely while actively managing your territory. The majority of your time will be spent meeting with customers, networking, and developing new business opportunities. Candidates must reside within Northeast Arkansas, Southeast Missouri, West Tennessee, or North Mississippi and be available to report to our Blytheville, Arkansas headquarters at least once per week for meetings and collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Prospect and develop new customers within your assigned territory
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, and business development activities
- Build long-term relationships with manufacturing, industrial, and commercial customers
- Identify growth opportunities and establish strategic partnerships
- Consult with customers to understand their operational needs and recommend HVAC solutions
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately track customer interactions
- Represent D&L at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
- Collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure exceptional customer service
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
- 3+ years of sales, business development, or account management experience
- Experience selling within commercial HVAC, construction, industrial services, manufacturing, or skilled trades preferred
- Experience selling service agreements or technical solutions preferred
- Proven ability to prospect, generate new business, and build lasting customer relationships
- Self-motivated, competitive, and results-oriented
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
- Must reside within Northeast Arkansas, Southeast Missouri, East Tennessee, or North Mississippi
