Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services
- Drive route to various customer locations, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Conduct merchandising activities to showcase products effectively and attract customer interest
- Apply pricing strategies accurately, including upselling additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities
- Handle automobile transportation tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices when loading or unloading merchandise
- Maintain organized records of sales transactions, route schedules, and customer interactions
- Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and management to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to route driving and vehicle safety standards
- Strong math skills for pricing calculations, inventory management, and sales reporting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during merchandise handling
- Excellent communication skills for engaging customers and coordinating with team members
- Prior experience in sales or customer service roles is highly desirable
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques and organizational skills for managing multiple routes effectively
- Military experience is a plus, demonstrating discipline, teamwork, and leadership qualities
