American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience and prior travel experience.

Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level I Trauma Center
-
Med/Surg unit with a team nursing model; patient ratios are approximately 1:7 with support from PCCs and other RNs
-
Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

On-call required as needed

Weekend shifts required as needed

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may be required, though cross-campus floating is rare

13-week contract
-
Active RN license — Tennessee (TN) or NLC Compact license required; no pending licensure accepted

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required; 3+ years preferred

Level I Trauma Center experience required

Large hospital experience required

At least one completed prior travel nursing assignment required

ADN degree minimum required for this position

Driver's License required for consideration

First-time travelers are not eligible; candidates must have completed at least one prior travel assignment

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO cannot be added after an offer has been presented

Holiday coverage: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered

Former permanent employees or internal associates must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
