Sunshine Sitters is looking to add to our college base of sitters! Please only apply if you are an active student enrolled in school looking for occassional babysitting!
At Sunshine Sitters, we believe in providing warm, dependable, and engaging childcare that gives parents peace of mind and kids a safe and fun environment. We’re growing our team of sitters and nannies who are passionate about making a difference in families' lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and loving care to children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and school-aged kids.
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Prepare meals and snacks as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for children to play and learn.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's daily activities and any concerns that may arise.
- Light housekeeping related to childcare (e.g., tidying play areas)
Qualifications:
- 16+ years old
- Previous childcare experience a bonus but not required (babysitting, daycare, nannying, etc.)
- CPR/First Aid certification REQUIRED (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Background check REQUIRED.
Skills
- Proven experience in caregiving or babysitting, with a strong understanding of child development principles.
- Expertise in toddler care, infant care, and general childcare practices.
- Ability to create engaging activities that stimulate children's growth and creativity.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents.
