Seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in a skilled nursing environment. The Certified Nursing Assistant will play a critical role in delivering high-quality resident care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide support for residents with mobility challenges using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document resident care activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding resident status and needs.
- Assist with medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support to residents and their families during challenging times.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance caregiving skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Nursing Assistant training program preferred.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
- Experience in critical care, long-term care, assisted living, or home care settings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
