Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary choices, and preventive care strategies.
- Assist dentists during examinations, procedures, and treatments such as fillings, extractions, or other dental surgeries.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) accurately to ensure comprehensive medical documentation.
- Monitor patient conditions during appointments, report findings promptly, and document medical terminology clearly.
- Support infection control protocols through manual handling of sterilization processes and maintaining a sterile environment.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar clinical setting with a focus on patient service excellence.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to oral health, diagnostics, and treatment procedures.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for efficient documentation.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations in clinics or dental practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, explaining procedures clearly and empathetically.
- Prior exposure to diagnostic radiology techniques relevant to dental care is preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), along with blood sampling skills if applicable.

Pay: $53.57 - $60.00 per hour
