Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address specific client needs
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual health conditions and goals
- Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective treatments
- Educate clients on self-care practices, occupational health, and pain management strategies for ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing client concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Stay current with industry best practices and spa trends to continually enhance service quality
Skills
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to connect and communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Expertise in patient assessment to identify specific needs and tailor treatments accordingly
- Proficiency in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other advanced massage techniques
- In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building lasting client relationships
- Experience working in a med spa or similar healthcare environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with occupational health principles to support workplace wellness initiatives
