Primary Purpose
Provide day-to-day cleaning of the buildings, with minimal ground maintenance.
Position Responsibilities

Day-to-day cleaning of rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, corridors, stairways, and other work areas so that the health standards are maintained

Day-to-day service, cleaning and supply restrooms

Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas

Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
-
Dust and polish furniture and equipment
-
Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean and tidy
-
Wash windows, walls, ceilings and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary
-
Sweep, scrub, wax or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines

Assist with setup and take-down for various meetings and events
-
Minimal ground maintenance including watering, leaf removal and other basic tasks

Stock supplies as needed

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Physical dexterity (ability to stand, stoop, bend and stretch for long periods of time)

2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area desired.
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

Understanding of cleaning standards and procedures

Knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment and hazardous chemicals

Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment

Basic grounds maintenance skills

Ability to lift and manually lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance

Ability to work with professional staff
