Expression Outreach Inc. is seeking qualified bilingual contractors to provide reading and math tutoring services for middle school students participating in our youth development and academic support program.
Scope of Service
The selected tutor will provide academic support and mentorship to students in grades 6-8. The goals of tutoring services is to strengthen academic performance while promoting social-emotional growth and student engagement.
Tutor services may include:
- Academic in reading comprehension and mathematics study skills
- Development of positive learning strategies
- Encouragement of student confidence and engagement in school
- Application of trauma-informed practices when working with students
- Communication and collaboration with program staff regarding student progress.
Required Qualifications
Proposal must demonstrate the following:
- Experience working with middle school-aged youth
- Trauma in trauma-informed care
- Experience in tutoring, youth mentoring , or educational support
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with youth from diverse backgrounds
