Vets on the Hudson is a modern, fast-growing veterinary hospital in Edgewater, NJ, looking for an experienced Veterinary Customer Service Representative to join our team.
As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll play a vital role in creating an outstanding client experience while helping our doctors and technicians provide exceptional patient care. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates with confidence and compassion, and understands the workflow of a busy veterinary hospital.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary receptionist/CSR experience
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, appointment scheduling, and hospital workflow
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service with a calm, professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working closely with veterinarians and technicians to coordinate patient care
Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
- Answer and manage phone calls, emails, text messages, and online inquiries
- Schedule appointments, surgeries, and procedures while understanding appointment urgency and appropriate scheduling
- Communicate treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up recommendations as directed by the medical team
- Maintain accurate medical records and client information
- Process payments and assist with front desk administrative duties
- Help create a positive, efficient, and team-oriented hospital environment
