Job Summary
Join our growing ambulatory surgery center as a PRN Surgical Radiologic Technologist. In this role, you will provide high-quality fluoroscopic imaging using a C-arm to support physicians during interventional pain management and spine procedures. The ideal candidate has experience in a surgical setting, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain C-arm fluoroscopy equipment during interventional pain management and surgical procedures.
- Assist physicians with obtaining optimal fluoroscopic images while maintaining radiation safety standards.
- Position patients appropriately to achieve accurate imaging and support procedural efficiency.
- Prepare and verify imaging equipment prior to each procedure.
- Adhere to all radiation safety, infection control, and sterile field protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Monitor image quality throughout procedures and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform routine quality assurance checks and report equipment concerns promptly.
- Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist with room turnover and preparation between surgical cases as needed.
Requirements
- Current ARRT certification and Texas Medical Board MRT License.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of one (1) year of C-arm fluoroscopy experience in a surgery center, pain management, orthopedic, neurosurgery, or spine setting preferred.
- Demonstrated experience assisting physicians during fluoroscopy-guided procedures.
- Strong understanding of radiation protection principles and fluoroscopic imaging techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a sterile surgical environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work PRN as needed.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.

Experience with fluoroscopy-guided procedures including, but not limited to:
- Epidural Steroid Injections (ESI)
- Medial Branch Blocks (MBB)
- Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
- Sacroiliac Joint Injections
- Kyphoplasty
- Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) Trials and Implants
- Peripheral Nerve Stimulator (PNS) Procedures
