Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate drink and food orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring proper presentation and quality
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods securely
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bar area, including food handling and beverage preparation areas
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales revenue
- Assist with food service duties such as bussing tables and supporting kitchen staff when needed
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems like Micros POS; knowledge of OpenTable is a plus, cocktail-making skills with knowledge of spirits, wine, and beverage service techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse customer needs
- Effective time management to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
