Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is required. (Must provide proof at time of interview)
Licensed by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation as a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) is required. (Must provide proof at time of interview)
Current certified in the following: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) is required. (Must provide proof at time of interview)
Working knowledge of Respiratory procedures and the use of Respiratory equipment
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills necessary to manage a variety of people from different socio-economic backgrounds
Computer literacy and keyboarding skills
Strong customer service and empathy skills
Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, and precision
Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize projects and tasks

This position is functioning within a healthcare environment. The incumbent is responsible for adherence to all hospital and department specific safety requirements. This includes but is not limited to the following policies and procedures: complying with Personal Protective Equipment requirements, hand washing and sanitizing practices, complying with department specific engineering and work practice controls, and any other work area safety precautions as specified by hospital wide policy and departmental procedures.
