Position Summary
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a front-line clinical team member responsible for implementing individualized ABA therapy programs under the direct supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA. The RBT delivers one-on-one behavioral and skill-building services to clients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities in home and school settings throughout New Jersey. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

Fair Lawn, NJ: 4 hours/week, after school (M, Th 3:30 - 5:30 pm) (possibly one more day)
Fair Lawn, NJ: 6+ hours/week, after school (schedule TBD)

Key Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs as developed and directed by the supervising BCBA or BCaBA
- Deliver one-on-one ABA therapy sessions with clients in home and school settings
- Collect accurate behavioral and skill acquisition data during every session using designated data collection systems
- Submit session notes and documentation in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with company protocols
- Actively participate in all scheduled supervision sessions and implement feedback from supervisors
- Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive therapeutic environment for all clients
- Communicate session observations, client progress, and any concerns to the supervising clinician in a timely manner
- Engage professionally and compassionately with clients, families, and school personnel
- Maintain confidentiality of all client information in accordance with HIPAA and company policy
- Always Comply with the BACB Ethics Code and RBT Task List
- Participate in required company training and professional development activities
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing with the BACB, OR willingness to obtain RBT certification within 90 days of hire (training provided)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred
- Ability to work under the close supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with children and families
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with individuals with ASD
- Physical ability to engage in active play, sit on the floor, and support clients with mobility as needed
- Reliable transportation and valid NJ driver’s license
- Ability to pass a NJ background check (criminal history and child abuse record check)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with ASD, developmental disabilities, or special needs
- Familiarity with ABA principles
- Experience using ABA data collection software or apps
- Interest in pursuing BCaBA or BCBA certification - supervision hours and support available
Work Environment & Schedule
Sessions are conducted in client homes and school settings throughout New Jersey. RBTs work one-on-one with clients and must be comfortable in community-based environments. Sessions may involve physical activity including play-based learning, movement, and hands-on skill building. Scheduling typically includes afternoon and after-school hours, with some morning and weekend availability depending on client need.
