Position Summary
PART-TIME: The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for assigning and moving cases to the appropriate Radiologists' queue. The Patient Care Coordinator will work under the guidance of the scheduled Patient Care Supervisor and/or the Patient Care Manager.
**Part-time weekends. Hiring two, one for first shift weekends and the other for second shift weekends.
First shift hours 7a-3:30p and Second shift 3p-11P
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure Efficient Case Management
- Assign cases to Radiologists based on state license, demographics, and approved facilities.
- Monitor folders independently to ensure cases are read within appropriate turnaround times.
- Reassign cases as necessary to maintain workflow efficiency.
Provide support to Radiologists and Ensure Quality of work
- Provide support to Radiologists and clients, troubleshooting problems and fulfilling requests.
- Monitor Radiologists’ schedules daily and escalate issues to supervisors according to documented procedures.
- Identify and address quality issues, driving continuous improvement in processes.
Ensure accuracy of compliance and reporting
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including reporting any violations or suspected violations.
- Handle incoming support calls from Radiologists and clients, ensuring compliance with corporate mandates.
- Obtain clarification of policies when necessary and utilize available resources from Compliance, Human resources, or Legal Departments.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or a GED required
- 2 years of experience in a similar field
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Experience with Service Desk, Help Desk, Call Center, or Customer Service environments
- Understanding of applicable state laws governing medical records
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools
- Knowledge of radiology modalities
Physical Requirements:
- This position will work remotely
- Work performed requires sitting, standing, stooping, typing and operation of standard office equipment
- Lift up to 20 pounds
- May be required to work weekends, nights, or be on-call as a regular part of the job
- Travel requirement - 5%
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Teleradiology: 1 year (Preferred)
