Plastic Fabricator
Compensation: $27–34/hour DOE + Paid Vacation and Paid Holidays

Schedule: Thu–Sun 6:30 AM–5:00 PM (Four-Day, 10-Hour Weekend Shift; hours may be flexible)
Plastic Depot is a busy plastic fabrication shop in Fremont. We CNC machine, bend, and glue plastic parts and assemblies. We are seeking an experienced Plastic Fabricator to fabricate, finish, and assemble plastic parts to print with minimal supervision. This is a four-day weekend shift (Thursday through Sunday, 10 hours per day).
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate plastic parts and assemblies: cut, shape, bend, and bond plastic plates, sheets, tubes, and structures using saws, shears, brakes, forming machines, and presses
- Trim, drill, countersink, grind, flame polish, deburr, and finish parts to specification using hand and power tools
- Use solvents to clean and bond plastic parts safely; fit and assemble parts and hardware to print
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and machining instructions; operate mills, routers, and ovens as needed
- Perform final QC inspection using calipers, gage pins, height gauges, and micrometers to verify dimensions
- Keep the work area clean and orderly, perform basic preventative maintenance, and back up other shop positions as needed
Requirements:
- 2+ years of shop experience as a fabricator, preferably in plastic fabrication
- Ability to read blueprints and use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
- Comfortable with simple shop math and a PC in a Windows environment
- Superior attention to detail, good close-range eyesight, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable and self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision once trained
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
Preferred:
- Two or more years of shop experience; experience bonding plastics with solvents; 2D/3D CAD/CAM software
