Job Title: Senior Technical Training Specialist

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Training Specialist partners with Power Generation field personnel to identify performance and training needs and develop effective training solutions. Responsibilities include developing, coordinating, and delivering safety, operations, maintenance, and technical training programs while supporting all phases of the ADDIE/SAT training process.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Training Development & Delivery
- Develop, update, coordinate, and deliver technical training programs for Power Generation personnel
- Facilitate classroom, simulator, and hands-on training related to:
- CCCT operations and operating fundamentals
- Instrumentation & Controls
- Electrical maintenance
- Mechanical maintenance
- Develop and maintain training materials, certification processes, and course history documentation
- Apply ADDIE/SAT methodologies and training evaluation models to improve learning effectiveness
Training Needs Analysis & Collaboration
- Partner with field personnel, managers, and business teams to identify and prioritize training needs
- Conduct performance and training needs analyses through surveys, interviews, consultations, and feedback
- Collaborate with business partners to review and update training, operating, and maintenance procedures
- Ensure technical accuracy and quality of all training materials and documentation
Additional Responsibilities
- Support technical writing, revision control, and documentation processes
- Work independently to complete assignments on schedule and within budget
- Travel up to 75% to support field locations across Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana
Minimum Requirements
Education
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
- Associate degree in Process Technology
Experience Requirements
Technical Training Specialist
- 6+ years of power generation or related industry experience without a degree
OR
- 5+ years of experience with a degree
Senior Technical Training Specialist
- 8+ years of power generation or related industry experience without a degree
OR
- 5+ years of experience with a degree
Senior Staff Technical Training Specialist
- 12+ years of power generation or related industry experience without a degree
OR
- 5+ years of experience with a degree
Required Skills & Knowledge
Operations Knowledge
- Combustion turbines and associated auxiliaries
- Generators and CCCT systems
- Steam generation and power plant operations
Maintenance Expertise
Candidates must have experience in ONE of the following disciplines:
Instrumentation & Controls
- Installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and control system integration
Electrical
- High, medium, and low voltage systems
- Switchgear, power distribution, and motor control centers
Mechanical
- Pumps, valves, turbines, compressors, and related equipment
- Welding experience preferred
Additional Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse teams
- Experience with LMS systems and SharePoint preferred
- Technical writing/documentation experience preferred
- Familiarity with Adobe Suite and content management tools preferred
