Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher/ Caregiver to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will serve as a primary caregiver and educator, fostering a nurturing environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate principles of childhood development, literacy education, and Montessori methods to promote holistic learning.
- Lead classroom activities focused on early intervention strategies, behavior management, and fostering social-emotional skills among children.
- Plan and execute lesson plans aligned with preschool standards, standardized testing preparation, and early childhood education best practices.
- Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, cleanliness, and an engaging space conducive to learning for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Collaborate with families and colleagues to support child welfare, communicate progress, and tailor educational approaches to meet individual needs.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or caregivers, providing guidance on classroom management, curriculum delivery, and child engagement techniques.
- Monitor children’s progress through observations and assessments; adapt teaching strategies accordingly to support each child's growth in literacy, math skills, physical education, and overall development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings with a strong background in early childhood education or special education.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies.
- Knowledge of early intervention techniques and familiarity with Montessori or similar educational philosophies is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to implement classroom activities that support childhood development milestones across various domains including social-emotional learning, literacy education, math readiness, and physical activity.
- Prior experience with toddler care and preschool environments; familiarity with standardized testing procedures is a plus.
