Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their bakery experience
- Operate the cash register (POS system), handle retail sales transactions accurately, and manage cash drawer operations with integrity
- Conduct product demos to showcase our baked goods and encourage customer engagement through upselling techniques
- Maintain well-stocked shelves by stocking and merchandising bakery products, ensuring attractive displays at all times
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and participating in regular stock replenishment
- Provide clear and professional phone etiquette when taking orders or answering customer inquiries
- Support in conducting product demos and educating customers about bakery items to boost sales and product knowledge
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail sales transactions
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and balancing cash drawers accurately
- Knowledge of retail store product merchandising, stocking procedures, and visual presentation standards
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and professional communication standards in a retail setting
- Experience in conducting product demos and upselling to increase sales opportunities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
