The Goei Center is seeking a skilled and organized professional to serve as the Lead Bartender and Bar Coordinator. The Lead Bartender and Bar Coordinator is responsible for combining hands-on bartending with full responsibility for bar inventory, ordering, and operational oversight, including stocking and organizing the liquor and bar rooms. The Lead Bartender and Bar Coordinator covers most of the Lead Bartender shifts and ensures the bar is fully prepared for every event.
Key Job Functions
Lead Bartender Duties
· Serve cocktails, beer, and wine efficiently and professionally during events
· Cover the majority of Lead Bartender shifts, leading bar service for all events
· Lead bar staff, assign stations, and ensure excellent service
· Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety behind the bar
· Train and mentor bartenders on recipes, techniques, and service standards
· Ensure compliance with all local alcohol laws and safety regulations
Beverage Operations & Inventory Management
· Stock, organize, and maintain liquor and bar rooms for maximum efficiency
· Maintain accurate bar inventory and track usage
· Order alcohol, mixers, and dry goods to meet event needs
· Stock the bar before and during events, ensuring all stations are fully prepared
· Monitor bar performance and recommend improvements to efficiency and offerings
· Collaborate with event and venue management to forecast beverage needs for upcoming events
· Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Events and Operations
Experience and Qualifications Requirements
· Proven bartending experience, including leadership or supervisory experience
· 2+ years working at a bar or event venue bar
· Knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer
· Experience managing inventory, ordering, and organizing storage areas
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Experience in event hospitality or large-scale event service preferred
· Mixology certification or formal bar training a bonus
· Familiarity with POS systems and bar management software preferred
· Experience with Barkeep software a bonus
· TIPS certified preferred
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
· Ability to be flexible and willing to workdays and nights, weekends, and occasional holidays covering the Lead Bartender responsibilities
· Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company’s insurance policy
· Must be able to lift, bend, and twist
· Ability to push and pull loads
· Must be able to lift frequently up to 60 lbs
· Good hand-eye coordination
