Responsibilities
- Assist customers with their selections and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
- Handle food preparation tasks, ensuring all items are prepared according to safety and quality standards.
- Operate point-of-sale systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) efficiently for transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the shop area, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Manage cash handling accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
- Support inventory management by restocking shelves and assisting with product displays.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional sales opportunities.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless workflow in the shop environment.
Skills
- Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proven sales skills with an emphasis on upselling products.
- Experience in cashiering and handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety protocols in the food industry.
- Background in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is beneficial.
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations and cash handling tasks.
- Experience in bussing or serving within a café or restaurant setting is a plus.
