Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Tree Climber/Foreman or someone new to the industry (Groundsmen) to join our team in Longwood, FL. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tree care and demonstrate expertise in climbing and supervising tree-related projects. This role involves physical stamina, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with a high-performing team.
Duties
- Perform tree climbing and pruning tasks safely and efficiently using rope and harness (no spikes, per ANSI A300 Standards, if applicable).
- Conduct tree inspections to assess structural integrity and potential risks.
- Supervise and collaborate with team members to complete tree care and removal projects.
- Operate and maintain tools, climbing gear, and advanced equipment.
- Provide on-the-job training and leadership to crew members as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including maintaining a drug-free workplace.
- Work 40+ hours per week, including overtime as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a tree climber or foreman in tree care or related fields.
- ISA Certified Arborist preferred but not required.
- Ability to climb trees safely using proper techniques and equipment.
- A valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is a plus; a clean driver’s license is preferred.
- Excellent physical fitness to perform demanding outdoor work in varying conditions.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to report to work in Longwood or surrounding areas.
