Come work in our commercial food manufacturing and distribution kitchen with a team of energetic, vibrant, and hardworking people. We are a growing, locally owned company building a new regional food system focused on regenerative farming, regionally grown products, and clean ingredients.
This is a hands-on production position with a steady pace and no nights. You will be an important part of our production team and will be cross-trained in multiple areas of the kitchen.
Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Schedule may change based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare food according to the current season's Recipe Book and established production procedures.
- Make tortillas according to recipe specifications, including proper preparation, cooking, portioning, and quality standards.
- Work across multiple production stations, including:
- Tortilla production
- Juice production
- Combi oven cooking
- Meal assembly
- Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) equipment — training provided
- Boxing and preparing orders for distribution
- Follow prep lists and daily production schedules.
- Prepare ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and completing other necessary prep work.
- Set up workstations and ingredients so production can be completed efficiently and accurately.
- Properly label, date, store, and organize ingredients and finished products.
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations throughout the production day.
- Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and health requirements.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.
Quality Assurance
- Follow recipes and production specifications accurately.
- Report any discrepancies in recipes, ingredients, yields, measurements, or production procedures to the Head Chef.
- Help maintain consistent product quality and ensure established standards are followed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous commercial kitchen, food production, prep cook, or tortilla-making experience is helpful but not required.
- We will train the right person on our production processes and equipment.
- Basic cooking and knife skills.
- Basic math skills and the ability to accurately measure ingredients.
- Ability to read and follow recipes and production instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Food Safety & Sanitation
- Follow all company food-safety procedures and applicable health requirements.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain proper personal hygiene and food-handling practices.
- Keep workstations, equipment, and production areas clean and organized.
- Properly label and store ingredients and finished products.
