Job Summary
The Transportation Driver is responsible for the delivery of transportation services to each
resident of the Community and for all resident activities. This position is also accountable
to observe the activities and behavior for all residents so that the care, services and
activities of each resident are appropriate and delivered to them in a continuous,
predictable and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General management responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Transport residents to and from destinations safely
2. Maintain vehicle interior and exterior to be clean and ready to operate, full of gas
3. Assist residents in and out of the car and to and from destination
4. Be properly oriented in advance for all trips and resident outings
5. When vehicle duties are completed or between runs, help with activity
department
6. Personally get to know the residents of the Community by communicating with
other team members and departments, and direct conversation with residents
7. Be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and
holidays
8. Promptly discuss and resolve any potential service or care coordination problems
with all involved team members and team leaders
9. May assist with front desk operations; Dining Room Ambassador program as
requested
10. Conduct yourself and the business at all times so as not to distract from, or to
reflect adversely on the reputation of the Community
11. Reports to work in a safe manner and understands that potentially hazardous
conditions are managed; Compliance with Safety Committee Standards is
required
12. Perform other duties as assigned or needed

Education and/or Experience
Prefer high-school diploma, or equivalent, or minimum education required per
state
Must be at least 21 years of age or as required by state
One (1) year experience driving a passenger van or similar vehicle preferred, or
as required by Community
Must be able to speak English proficiently
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence;
ability to speak effectively with fellow employees of the Community; Must be able to
follow written and verbal instructions; keep adequate records

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,

Other Occupational Exposures
Blood borne pathogens require the physical abilities necessary to clean a blood
spill or any other spill that may occur in this type of environment
Other Considerations and Requirements
Current and valid state drivers license or current and/or valid CDL license as
required.
Driving record must be in good standing, free of any moving violations and
acceptable to insurance carrier.
Tuberculosis (TB) certificates as required by State.
First Aid and CPR Certification as required by State.
Criminal Background Check cleared.
Pay: $16.90 - $19.00 per hour
