Aboutthe Role:
Asa CBRE LIS Director, you will be responsible for the development of people,processes, and solutions delivered to the life sciences customer’s laboratory operations. This job is part ofthe Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible fortechnical maintenance services in critical client environments.
WhatYou’ll Do:
Provide formalsupervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff.Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiringof new employees.
Coordinate andmanage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, andcross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor andcoach as needed.
Serve anaccount-level representative. This includes managing key performanceindicators, vendor relationships, and compliance requirements.
Overseeaccount-based issues. This includes management strategy, client relations, etc.
Support thedevelopment and administration of the budget. Review and approve allexpenditures for tools, equipment, supplies, etc.
Optimize the useof technology infrastructure to support service delivery and strategy.Identify, test, and implement 'leading edge' technology.
Point of contactfor all contractor specifications, problems, issues, performance, andadministration.
Engage with theclient management and end-users regularly to ensure open communication.
Maintains anunderstanding of the ongoing needs of end-users at each client site andcommunicates the business needs to executive management.
Apply a robustknowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers which impactdepartmental and cross-functional performance.
Lead by exampleand model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues totake action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans.Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent intereststo reach a common goal.
Identify andsolve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problemsleveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department.
Significantlyimproves and changes existing methods, processes, and standards within jobdiscipline.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor'sDegree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, acombination of experience and education will be considered.
Experiencein the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching,mentoring, measuring, appraising, andrewarding performance and retention is preferred.
Abilityto lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information,convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
Leadershipskills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multipledepartments results within a function.
In-depthknowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook,etc.
Expertorganizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
Sophisticatedmath skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages,fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Lab Services Alliance Director is $170,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Lab Services Alliance Director position is $210,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
