North Shore Motor Werks is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and motivated Parts & Shop Assistant to help improve shop efficiency, reduce unnecessary parts costs, and support our team of European vehicle specialists.
This role is critical to maintaining technician productivity, controlling parts expenses, processing returns, and ensuring parts move efficiently from delivery to installation. The ideal candidate enjoys organization, accountability, and being an essential part of a high-performing automotive team.

Primary ResponsibilitiesParts Receiving & Distribution
- Receive and process approximately 10-15 daily vendor deliveries.
- Intercept incoming deliveries and distribute parts to technician staging bins.
- Maintain an organized technician bin system labeled by Repair Order and Technician.
- Verify parts accuracy and ensure prompt delivery to technicians.
Parts Returns & Cost Control
- Identify and process unused parts for return.
- Coordinate returns and credits with vendors.
- Help reduce unnecessary parts spending and improve parts profitability.
- Track returned parts and maintain accountability throughout the process.
Shop Support
- Maintain organized parts storage and staging areas.
- Assist service advisors and technicians with parts-related requests.
- Support inventory organization and shop workflow improvements.
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.
General Service Support
- Cross-train to assist in a General Service role as needed.
- Support shop operations during peak workloads.
- Assist with basic vehicle service tasks when required.
Qualifications Required
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the day.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred
- Automotive parts experience.
- Warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience.
- European vehicle knowledge.
- Entry-level mechanical aptitude.
