Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning, ensuring that all dishes meet quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure the safety and quality of all food products.
- Participate in catering events as required, providing high-quality culinary services.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in fine dining or catering settings.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Experience with menu planning and preparation is a plus.
- Familiarity with dietary aide roles or working in a dietary department is advantageous.
- Culinary training or certification is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
