We are seeking full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team at our beautiful and fully equipped Day Program in South Dennis. As a DSP, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with daily activities, providing emotional support, and helping them achieve their goals for independence and quality of life.
Duties:

Provide person-centered supports that respect the rights and choices of each individual

Assist with activities at the day program, and on community outings

Assist with daily personal care and hygiene needs

Support individuals with day program activities

Administer medications as per physician's orders

Assist with mobility and lifting when necessary
Skills:
The ideal candidates for this position should possess:

Experience in medication administration

Ability to work with people with autism and developmental disabilities

Knowledge of home and community care practices

Background in social work or related fields

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to lift and drive as needed

Joining our team as a DSP offers:

Competitive pay starting at $21.00 per hour after completion of a week of orientation and training at $16.07 per hour

Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 4pm each day

Here's a brief summary of the benefits offered: Health, dental, and vision benefits are available on the first day of the month after 60 days of full-time employment. Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of pre-service classes and training as required by state licensure and agency procedures, including coursework and certification in First Aid, CPR, crisis management, behavior supports and other areas
Current driver's license valid in the state of New Jersey and driving record acceptable to insurance and regulatory requirements
Must possess basic skills for following written and verbal instruction, and for communicating client- and job-related issues orally and in writing, including the agency electronic data base systems. Must have the ability to communicate with individuals with whom they are working
Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule as assigned or established to ensure needs of the individuals are met
Must submit to a criminal background check, and be determined to be not disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to working with or in the presence of individuals served
Must agree to have name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
