Our client, a well-established food production facility, is looking for a Pest Control Technician to join their team in Earlimart, CA. This role is key in ensuring the facility remains pest-free through proactive monitoring, sanitation, and collaboration with third-party pest control services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of pest traps and monitor pest activity.
- Identify signs of pest infestation and take corrective actions, including perimeter spraying and fumigation.
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility interior, exterior, and waste areas to reduce pest attraction.
- Keep accurate records of pest control activities and housekeeping practices.
- Collaborate with external pest control services as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of pest control chemicals.
- Operate forklifts safely in high-traffic areas and assist in minor equipment troubleshooting.
- Support other operational tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months experience operating forklifts or heavy machinery.
- Certification to operate sit-down or stand-up forklifts required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Ability to read and interpret written and oral instructions.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Conversational Spanish is a plus.
- Capable of frequent physical activity including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs/ladders, and extended periods of standing.
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00
- Schedule: AM shift, Monday through Friday with potential weekend shifts.
