Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori methods and literacy education strategies.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independence among children.
- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions between lessons, playtime, and rest periods.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, behavioral observations, and developmental milestones.
- Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive social interactions and address challenges effectively.
- Conduct assessments of child development using standardized testing tools and document progress accurately.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management, behavior management, and early intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with special education needs, toddler care, preschool teaching methodologies including Montessori approaches, and physical education for young children.
- Excellent communication skills to foster relationships with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons focused on literacy education, math concepts, and overall child welfare.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in early childhood education or childhood development are preferred.
- Experience working within private or public school environments is advantageous.
